Alu Strip - Abeco Cable Prep Tool (06810) |

Abeco cable stippring tools provide the ideal, easy to use approach to prepare all cable types. Purposely designed for stripping a 42mm wide window safely and accurately along power lines for the fitting of standard cable clamps. The Alu Strip comprises two pair of semicircular die blades mounted on either side of the stripping head. The tool is pre-set for two cable sizes and the changeover between one size to another is instantly effected by a simple push-and-twist action of the knurled selector buttons. The Alu Strip is simple to use, accurate and fast and is ideal for use in confined spaces with limited access and may be used for cable ends as well as mid-span stripping. All stripping blades are readily accessible for quick and easy replacement or renewal. Simply clasp the cable between jaws and slightly rock the tool to effect a double circumferential incision. Butt the cable against the wire stops and cut between incisions with the pair of nibbler blades mounted in the front of the tool. Key Features:

Abeco cable stippring tools provide the ideal, easy to use approach to prepare all cable types. Effort less stripping of outer insulation, semi bonded screens and removal of aluminum, lead and copper cladding. This cable stripping tool has been specially designed to remove insulation from large diameter cables and meet all requirements of heavy duty industrial and installation usage. This tool is equally effective for mid-span and end stripping as well as for circumferential, longitudinal or in a spiral as required by simply twisting the cutting head into predetermined index positions. There are two type of cartridges: The rotary wheel blade cartridges (WC1 & WC2) which are capable of removing aluminium, lead and copper cladding, and aluminium and lead braiding. They have a predetermined fixed depth of cut which makes them also suitable for the removal of the semi-bonded screen from a variety of cables. There is a complete range of standard wheel cutting cartridges with cutting depths ranging from 1.2 to 4.omm in step of 0.2mm. The MK03 is supplied with one FC2 fixed cutting blade cartridge.
